RootsRelief was established by Mushira Mohamed in 2025 with the mission to serve vulnerable and underserved populations primarily in the Banadir and Lower Shabelle regions of Somalia by advancing equitable access to education, nutrition, maternal and child health, diversity, equity, inclusion, peacebuilding, and historical awareness. The corporation accomplishes its mission through community-driven projects, advocacy, capacity building, partnership with stakeholders, and provision of direct services to internally displaced and at-risk persons. All activities are intended to foster inclusion, resilience, and sustainable development in alignment with humanitarian values and local cultural context.
